5 Tips to Tackling Thursdays

A productive Thursday means a laid-back Friday and a not so dreadful Monday, right? Personally, I am all about ensuring that each day of the week is the best version of itself that it can be. Let's face it, they can't all be winners, but here are some tips to help make the most of your Thursdays and maybe even the weekend.

  1. Get an Early Start - Give yourself some extra time to get things done on Thursday (or everyday if you're really trying to kill it), so that you can enjoy a slower pace tomorrow

  2. Have a Goal in Mind - Schedule a little something extra to look forward to on Friday, whether it be a pedicure, pizza, extra long walks with the pup or whatever it is that motivates you. Remember all the fun you'll have doing 'this thing' if you're not stuck working late on Friday.

  3. Use the 2 Min Rule - The rule is, if something will take 2 minutes or under to complete - get it done right away. Don't let miniscule tasks take up space on your to-do list.

  4. Don't Fall for Distractions - That's right, you've got enough to do already. Close out of your inbox and mute your notifications while completing the most important, must-get-done-this-week tasks on your plate.

  5. Get Meetings Out of the Way - Meetings, amiright? Seems like you either love them or hate them, you're either the one scheduling them or the one trying to avoid them. Either way, sometimes they're necessary. Try to knock out any meetings that need to be done on a Thursday. You certainly don't want to risk getting stuck in a long meeting on a Friday, or worse, heading into the weekend stressed out after a not so great meeting.

There you have it, we've covered Friday Eve! Stay tuned for tips on how to make the most of your time on Friday without setting yourself up for hectic Monday mornings.
